Galleries Box Castle Goblin Antonia said, "I found you website and think that it's fascinating. Then I was sorting through
some photos and found some ghosts! It was taken by my cousin at Muness Castle in the island of Unst in
Shetland exactly a year ago. We had a picnic in the shelter of the castle walls and just before leaving, for
some reason my cousin decided to photograph the sign - maybe as a reminder to herself of the
name of the name of the castle, once she got back to Australia. We were absolutely alone in that extremely
remote place. As you can see it is Britain's most Northern castle! There was not another soul around! And
there had been no one else there during the two hours that we were there."

And this STRANGE personage shows up in the photo! As you can see, it appears to be a gentleman in 17th
century dress, wearing a frock-coat and a sort of tricorn hat. He is carrying something in his hand which is
casting a very small point of shadow on the door of the castle. You might think that it is my shadow but I can
assure you that a.) I was actually standing behind my cousin at the time, watching her take the photo and
was thinking that she was a bit crazy taking a photo of a sign! And b.) even if I had wandered towards the
castle, (which I didn't) there's no way that I would have cast a shadow like that! I was dressed in slacks and
a parka, no hat and I am a tall slim woman and I had my hair tied back in a pony tail.

I have puzzled over this photo again and again and can't find any logical explanation for this 'visitor'. If
you think that my cousin might have faked it, forget it! She is an ordained Anglican priest and is seriously
not into ghosts and things supernatural. In fact she was slightly disturbed by it.
Possible display mannequin/shadow. Archived from "Ghost Web" Circa 2002. Galleries Box Creepy Creature Terry writes, "There I was, minding my OWN business, resting early this
morning (Sunday, July 29, 2006), my daughter was making me some ice coffee and I
was thinking of waking up, and trying to figure out the setting on my trusty Sony
camera. When I heard this noise from behind the books on the shelf. scratch.......scratch.
Now, understand I'm a Monk about keeping the house clean...... I knew this sound was
NOT coming from outside......... I said to my daughter......."Scout, do you hear that
noise???" She came over and said......." Mommy there is SOMETHING behind the
books"...... She screamed"! I snapped its picture. You be the judge! Filthy creature
leaped down at me. I snapped this picture as it leaped and before it got away........
    I'm keeping this photo!
Possible hoax/hairless animal. Archived from "Ghost Study" Circa 2006. Galleries Box 4th Dimension Tugboat Larry writes, "I have taken many ghost photos as you know throughout my
many years investigating the paranormal but this one tops my list as strange. I took this
photo while attending the Virginia City Ghost Conference in Nevada last
October 13th 2001. The photo was taken inside the Piper's Opera House during the
conference. What's really strange besides the image itself was that other photo's shot
in the same direction and time had no image appear in the mirror. I was using a 35mm
Minolta camera with Kodak 800 speed film."
Possible hoax. Archived from "Ghost Study" Circa 2006. Galleries Box Alien Abduction in Progress Kurt writes, "My daughter was attending a Carl Jung conference in October
of 2003. Not feeling well enough to attend the scheduled classes, she went out to the
local lake and meditated for quite some time. Returning to the cabin after meditation,
she noticed that there was a bright light coming through the window of her door.
Thinking that the colors looked 'cool' she took the camera on the night stand and
snapped a picture of the door. When she had the film processed she discovered that
she actually took two pictures. One with the flash and one without. These images were
not what she saw. She claims that the light was too bright to discern what displayed on
    the photos."
Possible motion blur. Archived from "Coast to Coast" Circa 2005.
